With almost 20 years of experience in the video games industry, Mario is considered one of the pioneers in the Latin American gaming ecosystem and also an active global evangelist for investment and entrepreneurship in game development and new technologies within emerging markets such as Latin America, Africa, South East Asia and the Middle East. He has started magazines and media companies related to games (Sputnik/Atomix, 1998), game consumer and trade shows (EGS, 2002), e-sports initiatives (Latingamer/WCG Latam 2004) and he also worked for 11 years in Electronic Arts, first as the regional director for Latin America and later, moving to San Francisco Bay Area, in the HQs taking over digital-related and business development global director roles. He started to invest in companies in 2011 as an angel investor, a mentor in Silicon Valley and other startup ecosystems in the World. He received the award "Latino Role Model" in 2015 by the Mexican Government. Seasoned public speaker (17+ years) on subjects like games, business development, tech entrepreneurship and since 2014: VR and AR. He is the author of the non-fiction and entrepreneurship book "Manage Your Passion: Latin America 2050 One Gamer At The Time" (2013)
